Plagiarism is when people take other people’s work and use it to their personally gain without giving the person where the information came from the proper accreditation for their work. Plagiarism is something that no one should engage in doing, in high school or whether in college. Plagiarism in the eyes of the high school teachers and professors is look down on, but plagiarism is different whether in high school or college. In high school many students use other peoples work from the internet, books, magazines or articles. The teachers rarely asked students to turn their work in typed, when they did type papers for class many of the students wrote some of their own words at the beginning. Towards the end of the writing they used other peoples work in their writing by just changing the wording around of the persons work. Many of the teacher not until the research paper really checked students work to see if they have used other people work in the right way. Laboratory Report on the Effect of Acid Rain Free Essays

1. Problem According to an article, Acid Rain, by Novi Meadows Elementary, acid rain occurs in many parts of the world, no matter the climate difference. It is harmful not only to non-living things but especially to living things. Hypothesis The amount of seed germination will decrease as the surrounding of the seeds gets lower pH level, or becomes more acidic. 3. Procedure The effect of varying pH levels on the germination of three different seed crops, Triticum aestivum (Wheat), Phaseolus sp. (Mung Bean) and Zea mays (corn) were investigated. Each group counted 25 seeds and placed them in petri dishes. Next, 20ml of solution of desired pH level (1, 3, 5 and 7) were poured into the petri dishes containing the seeds. The seeds were then observed for seven days wherein morphological changes in the seeds were noted. At the end of seven days, the number of seeds germinated in the petri dish was counted and the percentage of seed germination was calculated. The data was then compared with the other groups. 4. This is because in highly acidic environments, the cells in the seed are unable to absorb the nutrients it needs to grow. In accordance with that, there was also 0% seed germination at pH level 1 for both Phaseolus sp. and Zea mays. At pH level 3, there was 12% seed germination for Phaseolus sp. and 4% for Zea mays. This means that the seeds of these plants can grow in semi-acidic environments. However, it can also be noted that at a less acidic environment, pH level 5, the percentage of germination for Phaseolus sp. and Zea mays increased to 60% and 12%, respectively. This probably means that the cells of the seeds of the two plants are able to absorb more nutrients in less acidic conditions. On the other hand, at pH 7, the seed germination of Phaseolus sp. and Zea mays decreased to 28% and 0%, respectively. Probably these two plants cannot properly absorb the nutrients needed in a neutral condition. Interestingly, though, it is only at this pH level that Triticum aestivum begins to germinate. This means that it is only at this point that the conditions for seed germination are favorable for the seed. This is probably the reason why the maximum percentage of seed germination for each plant was in varying pH levels: 16% at pH 7 for Triticum aestivum, 60% and 12% at pH 5 for Phaseolus sp. and Zea mays, respectively. 5. Conclusion From the results of the experiment and as stated in the hypothesis, it was concluded that the amount of seed germination will decrease as the acidity of the surrounding increases. In relation to this, acid rain could inhibit the growth of plants especially if its acidity is too high. According to the view of Van der Walt (2012), safe space in terms of individual physical harm indicates that space must protect to the individuals from any damages in respect to psychological, emotional and physical. In the journal of Corbman (2014), emotional harm is described as abn ormal displays from the viewpoint of social interaction, emotion and behavior. Due to suffering and unhappiness, these types of abnormalities happen. On the other hand, Moltz (2007) stated that suffering and unhappiness of individual has great impact on development. As stated by Heffernan (2009), physical harm is an inappropriate act from the point of view of individual experience. Physical harm has long term effect to the individual endures for the rest of the live. In safe space, the process should not involved safety from the viewpoint of psychological and emotional harm. Whereas, in the process of safe space, involves one reliable and distinct structure for supervising the times and providing required support. In safe space, individuals can feel free from psychological, physical and emotion harm. 4. Observation of videos Dead Poet Society takes place in the Welton Academy School for Boys. Conflict is the main part of the selected episode where the key theme was Oh Captain My Captain. The major characters in this part were the teacher of the school Mr. Nolan, Mr. Keating and one group of students. As an English teacher, M. Keating was very sensitive and understanding his student very well, and related them with individuals. The name of this adult student was Neil. However, the selected scene of Dead Poet Society displayed that it is a crime for the students if they not exercise from the viewpoint of critical political consciousness (Buckey, 2006). On the other hand, Mr. Keating, the English teacher concerned the moral quality for the students. He defined the morality of life within the environment of Welton Academy. The major conflict in this scene occur during the time of disapprove of fathers of a student. In the scene, the major quarrel occurs when the English teacher teaches the students for free spirit. The final conflict in this scene occur when one young man do not stand up into the table to make the secret group of creating safe space. However, it has been identified in the selected sc ene that one young student strived to be an actor but is not able to be an actor due to his fathers strictness (Thomas, 2008). He successfully inspired Neil to express his art of actor and willing to make an article in the school newspaper. However, in the end of the scene, Mr. Nolan considered the possibility that suicide of Neil was the product of political repressive and intellectual property. However, it has been seen that disruptive teaching of Mr. Keating was the true culprit from the point of view of threat of expulsion. Furthermore, it has been identified that Welton Academy was not for learning but for dynamic of the dominants and political control (Susskind, 2008). At the final stage of this scene, it has been seen that Mr. Keating is able to motivate the students not only recognizing the individuals for free safe space but also make them free from physical, emotion and psychological harms. However, Mr. Keating was able to make a collective unit that capable for protecting challenges to status quo. 6. Recommendations 6.1 Exploration of behaviors, values and beliefs From the point of view of Dead Poet Societys scene, it is recommended that positive encouragement is required for the students of Welton Academy School for investigating their own behaviors, goals and values. The teacher of the Academy of Welton has to teach to their students by examining the culture. It will help go understanding the individual value. This will help in providing the necessary learning towards understanding the different individuals. Apart from that, it will also help in developing empathy. 6.2 Equal Respects and empathic listener In order to create norms for every individual, it has been recommended to create the space where norms are equally distributed. Apart from that, individuals must to support and display respect with each other. Individual work towards forming will be the best methodology in making new solution of problems. However, creating norms, students are able it make truthful communication and develop safe space at all time. On the other hand, it is recommended that introducing the training for the staffs will be better aspects for creating safe space. Training to the staff is able to make the empathic listener. Long-term process provides skill and effective communications to the students. 7. Conclusion This above-mentioned report concluded one scene of the film Dead Poet Society that related with that university. This report is the summary of 7-minute video clips of the film Dead Poet Society. The definition that mentioned in this report is described the understanding of safe space in Welton Academy School. Summary of the literature regarding safe space described it helps in reducing harm of physical, psychological, emotional within the environment of education. Through analysis, this report generates that in this scene there were three main characters such as Mr. Keating, Mr. Nolan and Neil. However, there’s a simple answer to whether you should take the ACT with writing or without writing: it depends on whether the colleges you want to apply to require a writing score. What Is ACT Writing? Since 2005, students have had the choice between two different versions of the ACT: the ACT and the ACT with Writing. The writing test is an optional 40-minute essay task that students can elect to take at the end of the multiple choice test. ACT, Inc. added the Writing section in response to the 2005 SAT overhaul, whichaddeda Writing section that included both grammar multiple-choice questions and an essay. The addition of thewriting task to the ACT was meant to keep the two tests equivalent and easily comparable. Nonetheless, the SAT's essay was required and the ACT's was optional. This discrepancy between how the two tests incorporated their essay portions caused a fair amount of confusion for students and colleges. Ultimately, each college set its own policy about the two tests’ Writing sections: some simply ignored SAT Writing scores and didn’t require the ACT Writing, others considered SAT Writing but didn’t require Writing with the ACT, and a third group considered SAT Writing and required the Writing with the ACT. To complicate the situation further, the SAT's essay is nowa separate, optional sectionlike the ACT’s. Nonetheless, the basic facts remain the same: whether you take the ACT with or without Writing depends on whether the schools' you're applying to require it. The Key Consideration: WhichColleges Require ACT Writing? Roughly 300 colleges require or recommend that applicants take the ACT with Writing. In general, more selective schools expect you to submita Writing score, while less selective ones don't. However,there are plenty of exceptions: University of Chicago doesn't require the Writing section but Florida International University does. Otherschools don't require the ACT with Writing but do recommend it. Given the range of policies, you'll need to check the requirements for every school you're applying to. If you asked high school students if they’d prefer community service over hanging with friends at a basketball game, most would choose to hang out with friends at the game. To some students community service is not worth their time and to others, it is considered a way to better themselves and their community. Certain high schools in Michigan require students to attain a certain number of community services hours in order to graduate. Although I personally have only done a small amount of volunteer work, I feel that requiring students to help out more in their community is a great idea. There are many ways community service hours can really benefit students such as, when filling out college applications, using academics in the real life, and it gives students hands on experience with problems in the world. For those high school students that want to go to college when they get older, filling out a college application is the most important part. Colleges look for many unique qualities in their applicants. Some students may be academically smart, play a lot of sports, or be very talented. Although you may have all the right perks to be an amazing student, those who have taken time to help in the real world go above and beyond other applicants. Community service is a great asset to have on your college application. It shows that you care about the well-being of others and would take time out of your schedule to help the less fortunate. If a child wanted to go to medical school having good grades is a must, but if on your applications it says you volunteered at the local hospital, that’s a plus and will impress the college admissions board. They will notice that not only are you reading and learning about what it takes to be in the me... ...nity service plays a big role in society today. Being able to take a look into the lives of others is such a life changing experience. Community service doesn’t just open the eyes of students but provides them with skills to take on the real world. It gives them a different perspective on the value of things. Seeing others who have much less than you can make you much more appreciative of what you’ve been given. Volunteering can also help the focus on school. Realizing that it is important to look out into the world and learn to be successful in today’s society. Requiring community service is a good idea. It will help students in the long run to become more successful then they imagined. Schools need to support students who help out their community or even others. Students need to realize that in order to claim the ultimate success their work that needs to be done.

The Effects of Abiotic & Biotic Features on the Distribution of Plants and Animals in Terrestrial & Aquatic Habitats

There are many abiotic (physical) factors which affect the distribution of plants and animal in their habitats. Light is a major abiotic factor, as it is the source of energy for photosynthesis, which in turn means it influences all producers and consumers (directly or not). The amount of light available is a major factor in deciding where plants can survive. For instance terrestrial plants which are shade-tolerant can be found underneath trees, whereas those who are not only grow where there is a plentiful supply of sunlight. Similarly in aquatic environments some plants must have leaves on the surface of the water in order to photosynthesise, while others can survive under the water, where less light can penetrate. The temperature of a habitat will provide further limitations to which organisms can survive there. Nearly all living organisms have an optimum temperature range to live, so changes to the temperature will affect the rate they grow, and will affect their evolution. This is less significant with aquatic plants and animals as water has a high specific heat capacity, which means it takes lots of energy to heat water, so its temperature does not fluctuate greatly. However the heat does affect the distribution of organisms in aquatic environment in one way at least, this is that higher temperatures cause a reduced amount of dissolved oxygen in the water which leads to a reduced amount of aerobic organisms. It is mainly the sun which dictates the temperature, and the latitude will be the main factor in how hot the habitat will be. So some organisms will be suited to the temperatures on the equator while others will be suited to the poles. Through interaction with other physical features and organisms, the wind will affect the distribution of the organisms. The growth of trees and shrubs can be affected by strong prevailing winds. Wind speeds also affect the rate of transpiration, and the likelihood of the exposed side of the tree freezing. These three affects could mean that a certain plant could no longer survive in the area, so they would not be as widely distributed. It would follow that the lack of the plant could adversely affect the distribution of other plants and animals (this would be a biotic factor – which we will look at in greater detail later). The wind can also affect the migration of birds and seed and spore dispersion in plants, as such the wind can affect the distribution of plants and animals in this way. The availability of water will be a factor in determining which organisms can live where. Plants can be divided into three categories with respect to their ability to live with water. Hydrophytes are those which are adapted to living in waterlogged or submerged conditions, xerophytes are those who are adapted to living in conditions with little water and finally mesophytes are those who are adapted to living in conditions where there is an adequate supply of water. So depending on the amount of water available different species of plants will be distributed accordingly. Terrestrial animals are also heavily affected by the availability of water, meaning they are also affected by the availability of water. Animals which are evolved to conserve water and to lose as little through evaporation will be found in dry hotter environments, while those who are not as good at that will be found in the places where water is less scarce. Salinity can affect the distribution of organisms, especially plants because it is harder for water to pass into the roots by osmosis when outside the roots there is a high water potential. Halophytes are plants which can tolerate high levels of salt, they are usually found in estuaries and salt marshes, where other plants cannot be found. In aquatic habitats the flow of water can effect the distribution of organisms. The flow of water can move organisms from one place to another; very fast flowing water can often make it difficult for any organisms to survive in one place, as they are washed away. The fast flowing water is often more oxygenated, as more of its surface area is exposed to the air. Where the water is more oxygenated there will be more animals and photosynthetic plants as the supply of oxygen will be greater compared to that where the water is less oxygenated, as such oxygen concentration is itself an abiotic factor. Some animals are specifically adapted for living in water with low oxygen concentrations while other will simply die without sufficient oxygen. Soil type affects habitats because it determines the type of vegetation which can grow there, which also determines which animals will live there. One type of soil profile is podzol, and this is associated with coniferous woodland and heath land, at higher altitudes. Brown earth (another soil profile) is associated with deciduous woodland at lower altitudes. The pH of the surroundings, be it soil or water, will affect the distribution of plants and animals. Some plants, such as heather grow well in acidic conditions, while others such as dog's mercury thrive in alkaline conditions, so you can see that the pH will determine the distribution of terrestrial plants. Because of their affect on plants, they have a knock on effect on consumers, as they rely on plants for their food. Aquatic animals are also affected by pH, while some can survive in a wide range of pH, such as the freshwater shrimp, others are only found in water with specific pH's. Along with these abiotic factors there are several biotic factors which also affect which affect the distribution of plants and animals. Competition between organisms is a major biotic factor, as organisms compete for food, water, light, minerals, shelter and a mate. Organisms don't just have to compete with others from within their species (intraspecific competition) but also with organisms from other species (interspecific competition). This competition can lead to the displacement of one species – i.e. their distribution. While organisms have to deal with competition they also have predation to cope with. The distribution of a species is also determined by the presence or absence of prey and/or predators. Some organisms produce chemicals which repel other organisms (which may be of the same species – or not). This mostly applies to terrestrial animals that use chemicals to mark their territories, in order to deter other members of the species. This can reduce the distribution of some organisms in an area. Some ants produce pheromones when in danger, these pheromones warn other members of the species of the danger. The dispersion of some plants rely upon animals to disperse their seeds. Similarly many plants rely on insects for pollination, and without the insect they would be unable to reproduce effectively. Probably the most significant biotic factor which affects organisms is the influence of humans, we often dictate which organisms grow where, while being hunters, fishers, farmers, developers and polluters to name a few activities which affect other organisms.

Van de Wall puts forward certain requirements in order for successful land reform. The rural population must actively take part in the land reform tenure as the programme is aimed at boosting the previous disadvantaged population of the country. In order to do so Steward, du Plessis, Mazibuko  and Moloi (2010:82) state: â€Å"one needs qualified and skill staff as land reform actions imply high costs in surveying, registration, resettlement and so forth† The government must be active in the reform to minimise constrains that prevent the rural population from accessing credit, support and technical services and infra-structural development. Also to attend to job creation for the farming community who has lost there land due to reforms as farming is often there only livelihood and means of income. It’s important to stress that the settlement of farmers should be on the farmers own account and that they should be self-sufficient and accept responsibility for their livelihood. Government must as a priority provide resources and clear policies to enable farm dwellers to realise their land rights also provide farmers with security in respect of land rights and that legislation affords protection. Farmers must receive compensation should these rights be violated – farmers must be protected from evictions and have secured tenure not linked to employment. LAND REFORM IN ZIMBABWE: Zimbabwe became independent in the 1980’s when most fertile farmlands were predominantly owned by white / commercial farmers. This was a problem as â€Å"population density was low in the large commercial farm areas whereas in small farm areas overpopulation beyond carrying capacity was predominant and most farms have become too small to earn a living† (Blanckenburg1994:329). The black population of Zimbabwe was promised fertile farming land after independence – which was â€Å"bought† from the profitable, commercial and predominantly white farmers. These pieces of land was given to previously disadvantage black people so instead of a few commercial farms only being owned by the minority (white) it was now subdivided into smaller pieces of arable farmland and given to the black population. The vision of the government was to increase employment and income distribution between white and black people IS VAN DE WALL’S PREQUISITES STILL RELEVANT TO ZIMBABWE’S LAND REFORM? No, van de Wall stated land reform must be given to skilled and educated people, whereas the Zimbabwe government preference inexperienced settlers and liberation fighters. The Zimbabwe government abolished the following Lancaster House Agreement of 1979. Stating the willing buyer (government), willing seller (farmer) principle whereby the selling farmer could decide whether or not to sell their farm was – abolished by the  government who could determine independently which farms to acquire. The new land owners did not poses the skills to efficiently run farms which led to the crash of the tobacco industry. CONCLUSION The land reform act of Zimbabwe was politically orientated eventually leading up to such a point where farmers where murdered and land was forcefully taken with inadequate compensation. Where Zimbabwe was once seen as a major food and economic leader they now the poorest country in Africa even though there leader president Mugabe is the richest man in Africa. Biography of Chief Massasoit, Native American Hero Chief Massasoit (1580–1661), as he was known to the Mayflower Pilgrims, was the leader of the Wampanoag tribe. Also known as The Grand Sachem as well as Ousemequin (sometimes spelled Woosamequen), Massasoit played a major role in the success of the Pilgrims. Conventional narratives of Massasoit paint the picture of a friendly Native American who came to the aid of the starving Pilgrims- even joining them in what is considered the first Thanksgiving feast- for the purpose of maintaining peaceful relationships and harmonious co-existence. Early Life Not much is known about Massasoits life before his encounters with the European immigrants other than he was born in Montaup (now Bristol, Rhode Island) around 1580 or 1581. Montaup was a village of the Pokanoket people, who later became known as the Wampanoag. By the time of the Mayflower Pilgrims interactions with him, Massasoit had been a great leader whose authority extended throughout the southern New England region, including the territories of the Nipmuck, Quaboag, and Nashaway Algonquin tribes. Colonists Arrival When the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth in 1620, the Wampanoag had suffered devastating population losses due to a plague brought by Europeans in 1616; estimates are that upwards of 45,000, or two-thirds of the entire Wampanoag nation, had perished. Many other tribes had also suffered extensive losses throughout the 15th century due to European diseases. The arrival of the English with their encroachments on Indian territories combined with the depopulation and the Indian slave trade, which had been underway for a century, led to increasing instability in tribal relationships. The Wampanoag were under threat from the powerful Narragansett. By 1621, the Mayflower Pilgrims had lost half of their original population of 102 people as well; it was in this vulnerable state that Massasoit as the Wampanoag leader sought alliances with the equally-as-vulnerable pilgrims. The Pilgrims were impressed with Massasoit. According to MayflowerHIstory.com, Plymouth colonist Edward Winslow described the chief as follows: In his person he is a very lusty man, in his best years, an able body, grave of countenance, and spare of speech. In his attire little or nothing differing from the rest of his followers, only in a great chain of white bone beads about his neck, and at it behind his neck hangs a little bag of tobacco, which he drank and gave us to drink; his face was painted with a sad red like murry, and oiled both head and face, that he looked greasily. Peace, War, and Protection When Massasoit entered into a treaty of mutual peace and protection with the pilgrims in 1621, there was more at stake than a simple desire to make friends with the newcomers. Other tribes in the region were entering into agreements with the English colonies as well. For example, the Shawomet Purchase (todays Warwick, Rhode Island), in which sachems Pumhom and Sucononoco claimed they had been forced to sell under duress a large tract of land to a rogue Puritan group under the leadership of Samuel Gorton in 1643, led to tribes placing themselves under the protection of the Massachusetts colony in 1644. By 1632, the Wampanoags were engaged in a full-scale war with the Narragansett. Thats when Massasoit changed his name to Wassamagoin, which means Yellow Feather. Between 1649 and 1657, under pressure from the English, he sold several large tracts of land in Plymouth Colony. After abdicating his leadership to his eldest son Wamsutta (aka Alexander), Massasoit is said to have gone to live the rest of his days with the Quaboag who maintained the highest respect for the sachem. Later Years and Death Massasoit is often held up in American history as a hero because of his alliance and assumed love for the English, and some of the documentation hints at an overestimation of his esteem for them. For example, in one story when Massasoit contracted an illness in March 1623, Plymouth colonist Winslow is reported to have come to the side of the dying sachem, feeding him comfortable conserves and sassafras tea. Upon his recovery five days later, Winslow wrote that Massasoit said that the English are my friends and love me and that whilst I live I will never forget this kindness they have showed me. However, a critical examination of the relationships and realities casts some doubt over Winslows ability to heal Massasoit, considering the Indians superior knowledge of medicine and likelihood that the sachem was being attended to by the tribes most skilled medicine people. Still, Massasoit lived for many years after this illness, and he remained a friend and ally of the Mayflower Pilgrims until his death in 1661. Legacy Peace between the Wampanoag Nation and the Pilgrims lasted for four decades after the 1621 treaty, and centuries after his death, Massasoit has not been forgotten. For more than 300 years, Massasoit, and many artifacts related to his time as chief were buried in Burr’s Hill Park, which overlooks Narragansett Bay in the present-day town of Warren, Rhode Island. A confederation of Wampanoags, who still live in the area, worked for two decades to secure funding and dig up Massasoits remains and the remains and artifacts of many other Wampanoag tribe members who were buried in Burrs Hill. On May 13, 2017, the confederation re-interred the remains and items in the park in a concrete vault marked with a simple boulder during a solemn ceremony. They hope the burial site will eventually be added to the National Register of Historic Places. Ramona Peters, the repatriation coordinator of the Wampanoag Confederation who led the project, explained shortly before the re-interment: I would hope Americans would be interested too. Why Are We Afraid of Plagiarism   Your academic years are some of the most important and influential in your life. What you learn and how well you can portray your knowledge acquisition will dictate your future success. Therefore, it is understandable that many students are afraid of plagiarism. Whether you are wrongly accused or intentionally commit plagiarism, the practice has long-term, negative ramifications. However, we all know the rule Forewarned is Forearmed. Get a closer look on what is plagiarism and you will combat the fear of it for the whole college life. What Is Plagiarism? Plagiarism is the act of using someone else’s words or ideas and claiming they are your own. This is usually done by an act of omission failing to acknowledge the original source of the information. Things that are most commonly plagiarized include: Ideas Theories Facts Statistics Graphs, drawings or other visuals Spoken or written words How to Avoid Plagiarism? There are several steps you can take to avoid plagiarism. First, rephrase the information you plan to use. This means putting it in your own words. Simply playing with the sentence structure or changing the word or two won’t suffice. However, a paraphrase of the information should still maintain an accurate portrayal of the original purpose or claim. If you are unable to paraphrase the information, include a short quote of the material. This should be a direct quote- capturing exactly what the original author said. It should be noted that most colleges and universities are leery of large, block quotes. Generally, a quote should be less than 40 words. Anything more than that can easily be paraphrased. Second, be sure to add a proper citation. The way you format the citation will depend on the style guide you are using (MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.). Usually, this means adding a notation of the author and date of publication (or other reference information). Note: Citations should be added for both quotes and paraphrases. Finally, include a reference page or works cited page. This will expound on the in-context citations you added, providing all the necessary information regarding the sources you used. Again, the formatting of this page will depend on the style guide you are using. It is important to note that your own works need to be properly paraphrased and cited too. If you’ve written something for this or another class, you must cite yourself. Treat the information the same as you would any other source. Otherwise, you risk to be punished for self-plagiarism. There is one exception to proper citation. If the claim is public knowledge- meaning the data can be found in various sources and is commonly known by the general population- you don’t need to cite it. For example, Barak Obama was inaugurated as president of the United States of America in January 2009. Consequences of Plagiarism The students who most commonly worry about the consequences of plagiarism are those who are intentionally embarking on the journey. However, it should be noted that these same punishments are also applied to those who unknowingly commit plagiarism. Each university has its own policy regarding plagiarism and will handle cases based on those predetermined rules. Usually, the severity and frequency of the act will determine the extent of the punishment. Many professors will award zero points for a project that is found to have plagiarized work. Alternately, the student may fail the class. Sometimes, the professor will use the formal disciplinary reporting process to notify university officials. Based on the officials’ findings, the student may be subjected to suspension or expulsion. Some schools make a note of the offense on a student’s transcript. This will severely limit the student’s potential for future success. Many graduate schools and prospective employers reference a student’s transcript; a notation of plagiarism could disqualify the individual for important opportunities. Perhaps more noteworthy is the negative ramifications the student inflicts upon himself. You are depriving yourself of a valuable opportunity to learn and grow each time you commit plagiarism. You aren’t creating your own work or even original thought. Additionally, you run the risk of being ostracised from your friends\ and fellow students. Anyone who has put in the effort will resent your attempt at an easy-out. Lastly, you will ruin the relationship with your professor. That professor could have been a valuable reference down the road and plagiarism will burn any bridges you have already created. Plagiarism is a dangerous act. However, honorable students don’t need to live in fear of accidentally committing a writing crime. Simply take the necessary steps to combat plagiarism; this includes thinking long and hard about intentionally embarking on any path that could jeopardize your future success. In fact most soldiers were detained following the same. This gave Bush credit and to some extend showed the world that he actually wanted fairness and that his only aim was to counter terrorism. For him the alleged acts were a crime and he showed it by disapproving them. It was a good gesture to the world since almost everybody wants to end terrorism.
